- I'm Deb Case with GE's Aviation business and I'm no tech geek. Yet I'm not a tech slouch either. At NEXTFEST, I want to glimpse into the future and see how technology will be when my 19-month old son is older.

- Ryan heads GE’s Emerging Technologies program at edgelab, an academic research partnership between GE Corporate and the University of Connecticut. Working with MBA students every day to find, evaluate, and position early-stage technologies like the ones being displayed at NEXTFEST means that Ryan is never far from his nerd roots. Ryan is excited that a venue like NEXTFEST exists to show the world that high-tech isn’t just for geeks.

- Chris Kalish is the director of the GE edgelab located at UConn. He is part of a litter of four engineers and tends to leap feet first into anything technology-related. Twenty-seven feet from his office, Chris finds himself magnetically drawn to his own mini-NextFest that operates every day out of edgelab's Emerging Technologies Showcase.
